Hello,
here’s a little recap of my first market experience with my handmade products! On June 29, 2025, I took part in the delightful Tartu Loometänav fair with my creations.
When you sit down and calculate the production cost of your work and consider what’s already offered on the market
— guess what turns out to be more profitable for me to produce?
(As entrepreneurs, we’re meant to make a profit, not produce at a loss!)
Is it the cheerful, colorful, breathable cotton dresses that are oh-so-comfy to wear?
Or is it rain covers, seat liners, and other stroller accessories?
At the fair, my dresses were surprisingly popular — especially with older ladies. .
But of course, that straight-cut, waistline-style silhouette wasn’t quite the right fit for them.
Shorter women, on the other hand, thought more length would be great.
As for tunic-style hoodie dresses, they didn’t really strike a chord with the crowd either. .
There were also made-to-order pieces (not available on the spot, only as samples) —
like a rose-patterned set and the peony-patterned dress I wore myself —
and yes, those were the ones people wanted to “buy on the spot.” .
